Home>FBA's Request
PO#: FBAXXX
Amazon Ref#: Not required for FBA
Amazon Ref ID: XXX
It's common for Amazon to request that a shipment be split among multiple FBA warehouses.
There are three ways to go about handling these kinds of shipments:
1) Have Seabay arrange trucking to the separate destination warehouses (which, depending on their proximity, could be expensive)
2) Use the Amazon delivery service offered by UPS (which can be a cheaper option for warehouses further apart from one another)
3) Book separate shipments to separate warehouses.
This could be a good option if your warehouses/ destinations are on opposite sides of the country. separate shipments to separate warehouse if they are on different sides of the country.
Additionally, if you have two 10+ CBM packages, it might be worth it to ship twice - or to consolidate into one container.
Amazon will not serve as the importer of record or ultimate consignee on any of your imported freight.
Amazon will not be responsible for any duties, taxes or other charges associated with the importation of your freight.
Amazon will not provide POA or tax ID numbers to you.
Amazon will not provide brokerage or freight forwarding services.
Amazon Sellers are responsible for compliance and filing with all applicable other government agencies at the time of importation (such as FDA, TSCA, FWS).
You must provide prepaid delivery to Amazon’s fulfillment center.
Amazon requires all shipments be delivered to their warehouses on pallets.
You can request your factory to palletize in Factory or Choose Seabay to Palletize in POL/POD.
Each carton in an Amazon shipment must have the proper Amazon label attached. This ensures that the correct item is picked out of inventory in the fulfillment center.
It is highly recommended that you send the Amazon labels to the supplier at the point of origin, before the goods are picked up. Otherwise, Seabay can certainly arrange for labeling, but it will incur an additional fee - approximately 50 USD per CBM- to attach it.
Amazon does not take any responsibility for your shipment’s duties and taxes.
To that end, all Amazon FBA shipments need to be classified DDP (Delivery Duty Paid); any shipments classified DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) will be rejected at the Amazon warehouse.
Because Amazon requires that all FBA shipments be delivered to their warehouse at very specific times (sometimes late at night with a very narrow delivery window), this may result in delays in the initial transit time presented for your shipment.
If your business is not based in the IMPORTER country, and you do not have a valid importer ID, Seabay can handle it for you.
